Housing Adaptation Grant from Limerick City & County Council

Housing Adaptation Grant

Limerick City and County Council operates a disabled persons grant scheme to assist persons to make alterations or modifications which will help to alleviate their disability or illness. This is called the “Housing Adaptation Grant for People with a Disability” and is designed to assist individuals with physical, sensory, mental health, or intellectual disabilities.

Please note that this grant is means-tested and your application form must be completed in full and submitted to your local office at Rathkeale, Newcastle West, Kilmallock, Dooradoyle or Merchant’s Quay.

If annual household income is less than €30,000, 95% of the cost of the works (up to the maximum grant amount of €30,000) could be grant aided. The proportion of the costs aided will be tapered from 95% down to 30%, for those with annual household incomes of €50,001 to €60,000.
